Louise has worked as an Occupational Therapist for 9 years with over 6 years experience working in her speciality of complex adult Neurorehabilitation. Working independently and as part of a wider team Louise’s personable and friendly approach allows her to build strong rapport with her clients, maximising engagement and working towards improving independence and functional ability through goal orientated therapy. Louise has gained extensive experience working in both inpatient and community settings with individuals who have mild to severe brain injury.
Louise is skilled in providing therapy for clients actively progressing towards goals but also for clients who require support to manage the long terms effects of their disability with focus on maintenance, quality of life and leisure.
Louise has special interests in postural management, custom seating, cognitive rehabilitation, upper limb rehabilitation and the assessment of Disorders of Consciousness (DOC) of which she is an experienced assessor.
In her spare time Louise can be found out on her bicycle or enjoying her garden.
